Constructed from a deep red vintage blanket and layered with heart motifs rescued from a thrifted fabric remnant, this coat is an unapologetic celebration of devotion, obsession, tenderness, heartbreak, and all the beautifully messy things that come with having a human heart.
 
The heart fabric waited in my studio for years before finding its purpose. Saved from an op shop and held onto for the right project, it finally found its home here — cut, quilted, and stitched onto a rich red blanket base.
 
Warm, oversized, and deeply wearable, Lovesick balances softness with boldness. It is impossible to ignore, but impossible not to smile at, too.
 
Every stage of construction was completed slowly in my Canberra studio using reclaimed and vintage textiles. No two fabrics carry the same history, and no two Emmy Bones garments will ever exist again in exactly the same form.
 
Lovesick is for romantics, and anyone who has ever cared a little too much.
