Hocus Pocus began with a gorgeous blue vintage blanket and the feeling that the coat needed to become something loud, playful, and slightly unhinged.
 
Purple reclaimed poly-dupioni fabric was transformed into flames climbing the sleeves, stars stitched across the front, and the words HOCUS POCUS boldly across the back like a spell, a warning, or an invitation to other people who Get It.
 
Despite its theatrical energy, the coat is deeply wearable — oversized, warm, soft, and built for winter days that need a little more drama. Large deep front pockets to store all your essentials or keep your hands warm.
 
Every detail was cut, quilted, and sewn individually by hand in my Canberra studio using reclaimed and vintage materials. No two fabrics age the same way, and no two Emmy Bones pieces will ever exist again in exactly the same form.
 
This garment has been created using reclaimed and vintage textiles, and may contain small signs of age, wear, fading, or repair from its previous life. These details are considered part of the character of the piece and any notable marks or imperfections have been photographed and included in the listing.
